Bell's Vireo - second visit...The Bell's Vireo has continued in the same spot all week, and I was tempted back to try and get some better shots. Early morning (the Arboretum only opens at 8am, so no first light!!), before the wind picked up and the bird went into extended hiding, I managed to get two more, albeit rather distant (heavily cropped) shots.
One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the places that rarities choose to hang-out. Not the most inviting patch of habitat, and why Hugh was even birding here is a special wisdom only he has!!
